We went to visit my aunt and uncle last week in Florida for spring break- it was so much fun! Every time we take a road trip, I am just amazed at what good travelers Aislin and Declan are... I guess I started them young - taking them on a road trip by myself from Colorado to Georgia when they were both still in diapers- eeps! Anyway, I love to drive places with them- and yes, I do have to say that "the beast" (minivan) is very nice to travel in.
We went for a hike when we were in Florida- at this beautiful nature area- there was lake, swamp and marsh areas- and SO many wild animals. It was amazing. We went there to not only hike, but to find the geocache (a high tech treasure hunt to find a hidden container, which was hidden somewhere along the hike). The kids loved it!
We saw a bald eagle, osprey, tons of other birds, lizards, turtles, snakes and TONS of alligators. I guess they really call part of the hike alligator alley for a reason- yipes, I was scared toward the end- with alligators on each side of us!
