Dreaming of the future? ha!

Last night, I had a dream we were in Ethiopia.  My sister was there (Ok Michelle, does this mean you need to come with us??) with Brian and I, and we were at a guest house.  Apparently, it was our first day there, but we had not met our daughter yet.  Everyone (there were two other people there, I have no idea who they were) was just sitting around eating doro wat on our porch while I was taking some pictures of the room, the view, etc.  I was so nervous and so anxious to meet our girl, I could feel it in my stomach.  Then I immediately woke up (3:00 in the morning-eek).  I woke with a feeling in my stomach like I had in my dream- totally all nerves and tight.  Weird.  It was neat, though- I think this is the first time I have dreamt about being in Ethiopia.  Can't wait!

This was her first cyclo-cross race... she is amazing and I am so proud of her!

***The Amazing Theatre***

Look what fun is had at our house with a cardboard display board. :-)  The kids (and I) made a little puppet theatre for them- so cute!  They painted it, picked out the fabric for the curtains, thought up the name for their theatre, and then chose the font/size for the sign.  The kids are so creative, it is great!  

They put on their first puppet show today (with stuffed animals- we don't have any puppets-oops).  Aislin wrote lines for both of them (even though Declan cannot read all of his lines quite yet!).  At one point, Lexi (our dog), went up to the stage and tried to steal the pink poodle- I was laughing so hard!  :-) 

 

6 months!!

And we have moved up 3 spots since my last post- yay- congrats to all the families!  It is seriously so exciting to see all of these referrals- I still can't imagine the feeling!

We went camping this weekend- it was such a gorgeous weekend here.  The day was beautiful and sunny and the night was nice and chilly. I love car-camping with the kids, but we are still using our backpacking/mountain tents and they are a bit cramped.  I told Brian we needed to get a huge 3 room car camp tent for the next time!  Not going to happen, but one day we will get a large one.  The kids always amaze me at how well they do- they are so helpful and they just go with the flow- love that about them!  Anyway, here are some photos from our weekend...

We've moved up 2

A few referrals came today, which is exciting!  Ethiopia courts reopened Monday and hopefully things will start moving again!  I would seriously love to have our new daughter home by Christmas, but who knows!  So excited for the three families that received referrals today!!
