Finally getting around to posting photos of the playhouse. Somehow, Santa put it in his sleigh and it magically appeared for Aislin and Declan on Christmas morning. It needs a front porch and some major landscaping, but the kids love it!
Here are the kids sitting on the doorstep. There is vinyl on the outside of all the windows, which we roll up and tie with the ribbons when it is hot. It keeps the rain & cold out pretty well! (there was velcro on the bottom of the vinyl, but I took that off). The roof is made of corrugated uv plastic- makes the inside seem bigger and not so claustrophobic feeling. Brian gets a huge gold star for building this, as well as my aunt Linda, who helped SO much with this!
There is a kitchen side (Both sides have a chalkboard and two bins for storage)
and a workbench side (there are now hooks on the peg board!)
a little table with stools and chairs
and a sweet little dutch door!
love it! and the best thing about it- Brian built it modular, so if we ever move, we can just easily take it apart and take it with us!!
