so, basically, my life has been a spinning, swirling, dizzying mess lately! Gearing up for Memory Trends was definitely a challenge- always a few things to do last minute that were not expected. The show was great, though... I think there was a great response to all the new AL products- Rhonna's new Scribbles line is way too cute, Teresa's Foofala is super, the new books are awesome, and of course, I cannot wait until the new MOD ships. Had tons of fun in Vegas with all the girls... saw the new Cirque show, KA which was pretty good (though I do have to admit I was super tired and *maybe* fell asleep for a minute here and there .. hee hee), saw Elton John one night (had to call my sister and sing "Daniel" to her), and had some nice quality time with my roomie Tracy- so what if I drove her crazy always being late. Can't wait to revisit Vegas in January for more fun :-)
While I was in Vegas, Brian transferred our contract on the house that was starting to be built (got delayed *months* and I was so upset), to a house (same plan, just a few houses down) that was completely ready. SO excited about this- we are supposed to close (fingers crossed) in a few weeks.. I have been trying not to get my hopes up about this, but I think the closer closing comes, the more excited i get! While the house is not exactly what we had chosen as far as details, I know this will be a super wonderful home that we will all love. A nice big yard for the kids, a sweet deck for hanging out, and lots of room on the inside for all of us (and our visitors!). The kids have already picked out their rooms (how cute is that?) and keep talking about what they want to do as far as decorating/colors. Declan wants his room "thunder blue" -have no idea where that came from- with Spiderman , Aislin wants her room purple with butterflies, horses and flowers everywhere... last week she wanted pink. We'll see. I'm a nice mama , but not sure I am nice enough to do spiderman and horses ;-)
Our house in Denver is waiting patiently for its dream buyer...when that person should come, who knows... this house has been the most frustrating ever! Brian will be there this weekend, starting the packing/disassembling of things, and I am going the next weekend to finish up. Can't wait for the kids to have their own stuff again. Their beds, toys, clothes. All the things they miss. All the things I miss. soon enough.
Aislin's birthday is coming up. 4 years old. wow. She sure has become quite the determined, cranky, funny, stubborn, little mini-mama. I love her so much, but some days I want to throw her out the window. Today she threw the biggest fit in Target, crying , screaming...screaming so loud, it was echoing through the whole store. ugh. i actually made it to the car before I broke down.. calling Brian to help me, even though he was at the airport waiting for his flight to Denver. No one can calm me down like him. so lucky to have him around....thanks, baby.
we just got back from a 6 day trip to Florida, also. Brian had an ITexpo to attend, so the kids and I met him in Orlando, then went to my aunt and uncles house in Winter Haven. Took the kids to Disney, which was so much fun. Brought back so many memories from my childhood.. seems like we went there all the time when I was little. Getting those big twirly lollipops, riding the rides, seeing the shows... what fun!! We had to cut our trip short by a day since we were worried that the hurricane would pass too close for us to leave on schedule (though now it has passed and the family is thankfully safe)...but we had so much fun while we were there- thanks Linda and Steve for putting up with us, and sorry I left both bags of Oreos there!! oh, and the post title is totally for you, Linda... those tea cups just freak my aunt and I out!
