The good thing about Esme being home sick for days.. she gets to relax in the bath. Usually she takes showers- we don't have too much time at night to let her soak in the tub. This was her second bubble bath this week and she loved it!
And! Good news.. fever is gone! yay! Bad news.. took her to the doctor and she has a double ear infection :( She feels pretty good, though, and is a much better mood!
See that girl? The one that looks sooo proud? Look behind her on her chalkboard... she wrote an E today!!! ((Well, she wrote tons of E's!)) She called me into her playroom this morning and pointed to her chalkboard (thanks to Grandpa for the awesome easel!) and she told me to look at her E. LOOK AT HER E!! Can you tell I am excited?? :) I wasn't sure she *meant* to write the first one, so I asked her to write another one for me.. and she wrote one.. and then another.. and another..so super proud of my girlie!
((and yes, this is day THREE of being trapped at home because of her fever and it is killing me.. I feel like a complete hermit! She is in better spirits, but still not eating tons and still has the fever. ugh. I may go crazy if I don't get to a Target or something soon!))
My girl and me.. snuggling on the couch.. which is what we did ALL day today because she is sick :( My poor little mama has had a high fever since yesterday. All she has wanted to do most of the day today is cuddle with me. I LOVE this, but I really wish she would start to feel better! She hasn't really been eating either.. but she is still drinking lots, so that is good. Hope tomorrow she feels better!
My little bakers :) Aislin created a recipe this morning for Oatmeal Chocolate Chocolate-Chip Cookies and wanted to try to bake them. I decided to just let them have the kitchen and see what they created. Of course, I am a crazy controlling person.. so I had to just keep the kitchen out of my sight so I didn't freak out over the mess and stuff. They did a great job of making their cookies and cleaning up after themselves (guess I am teaching them well). The cookies they made were pretty tasty. Aislin made them to be ice cream sandwich cookies... I'm pretty sure the kids loved them!
Coming home after vacation is so nice.. especially with some lovely fabric waiting for me with the mail! Thanks to Linda and my friend, Alissa, for my Hawthorne Threads gift certificates!! Can't wait to make things with all this pretty fabric!
Black Friday shopping with Linda! We really didn't go crazy and brave the crowds.. we just got up super early and did a nice, relaxing shopping day with a big breakfast thrown in :) It was great just to shop all day with no kids.. got tons of Christmas shopping done!
Thanksgiving! I didn't get one picture today of the family.. only of the pretty table my aunt set. We had a great day enjoying our dinner and relaxing all day!
Legoland!! We had such a great day today- tiring, but soo much fun! More pictures soon!
Orange trees + sunshine + warm weather... where could we be?? Yep- Florida! Yay! We are spending the week with Linda and Steve for Thanksgiving. This should be a fun week. Family time, good food, and we are going to Legoland! Can't wait!
