One big bed in the center of the room? Yeah, we've got lots of changes here. Esme still misses her binky and is still struggling when it comes to going to sleep. ack! Why did we take that thing away!? Yesterday at her nap time, I went in to check on her to see if she was asleep and she was in mid-launch off the side of her toddler bed. I decided then that we were taking every single thing out of her room (which wasn't much because I had already taken a lot out) and she could just have a mattress on the floor and that was it. That sounds mean, right? Just come over one day at nap or bedtime. Really. This girl is into *everything* and can keep herself awake like nothing else. After we took the toddler bed out, Brian and I decided to just leave the big bed in her room and she could sleep on that.. surely she won't jump off the head or the foot of that bed, right?? hahaha!! We'll see! How did it go last night? I rocked her. She struggled. I snuggled her. She struggled. I left the room so I wouldn't lose my sanity. She *still* struggled :) After about 1.5 of her playing on the bed and in her room, she finally went to sleep. Whew. She looks so tiny in that big bed.. but she loves it, which is good. Hopefully we can move it back against a wall one day and put some of her furniture and stuff back in her room. For now though? We are leaving it just like it is.

I went outside after my nap this afternoon (hey..I have a cold and only slept 1.5 hours last night, I needed it!).. and Aislin was working on a chalk art masterpiece. I have to say that I was super impressed! She spent so long out in the cul-de-sac drawing that design.. so cool! (Don't worry, Brian was outside with the two older kids.. I don't just let them hang out in the street!). Declan practiced his soccer juggling skills the whole time.. he was so sweaty and worn out by the time he came in.. but he juggled 10 times.. so he will get his 10-patch.. yay Deck!

Brian took Aislin, Declan and Dominic to the Braves game this afternoon (thanks, Erin for the tickets!!). They had the best time!! While they were at the game, McKinsey, Esme, and I shopped and then McK had to go home.. so I just stayed home the rest of the day while Esme napped. Nice and peaceful.

Dominic is here again :) This time, he picked up McKinsey on the way.. fun fun!! I made them help me with some of my Esme birthday projects.. I am sure they were loving it! I made his bed up in "his" room (the playroom, but he likes it) and put the big chimp in the bed.. I was cracking up. He came in and I made him snuggle with it for a picture. I thought it would be funny to let Dominic fall asleep and then put the chimp on a chair staring at him.. but I forgot. Maybe next time :) Nothing like waking up with a chimp staring you down!

Big day for my little girl! She put all her binkies in an envelope that she decorated and took them to the mailbox to mail them away to other babies who would need them! Man, she loves her binkies.. so I know this is going to be hard for her.. but she was such a big girl putting these in the mail box. Let's hope it doesn't take too long for her to get used to not having them!

Got my little factory all set up. Esme's birthday is coming up.. time for me to do stupid projects for it :) Remember last year when I decided to make all those cute little elephants? You think I would have learned. Nope- this year I am making like 3 things.. what was I thinking? 1. Trying to save money by doing stuff here and 2. Cuteness (let's hope). Party in two weeks.. I need to get busy!

Lexi always freaks out and barks at animals in the yard or behind our fence. We know there are bunnies because of all the bunny poo we find in our yard, but I have never seen one. HA! Found one tonight and took a picture.. it was so cute with the big ears. Not the best picture.. but hey, it was dark :)

Brian and I capturing the hummingbird that was stuck inside our porch. Poor little bird was flying around like crazy and would not go anywhere near the door to freedom. We finally (somehow) got him into this mesh trash can and he immediately stopped flying and just sat inside. We took him out and he flew away.. whew! Aislin took this picture from inside- pretty good! Last week, a cardinal was inside the porch- eeps! I was alone, so I stuck on the gloves (see pic above haha) and had to gently catch him and release him. Glad I had on the gloves because he was biting them! I guess we need to start closing the screen door all the way.. it is just so much easier for Lexi to be able to go in and out with it open!

Another gorgeous day! Esme and I hit the park this afternoon while Brian, Aislin and Declan were at a UGA soccer game. My little mama has been out of sorts lately- not sure what is going on (molars, school, who knows?), but she has been sooo hard to handle! She went to sleep today at 11 and didn't get up until almost 2.. slept right through lunch. I hope she gets back to her normal sweet self soon- her bad attitude and crankiness are killing me!!
