Last day at Camp Invention! The kids had such a great time at camp this week- making cities and taking apart electronics and meeting new friends. I wasn't really sure about this camp, but they both had a super time and were so excited to go every day. yay! Now...into the car for the 7 hour drive to NC.

Oops. Forgive me, Brian!! I was really trying to be good and not spend any money. Really. But Esme and I took a quick trip to the thrift store yesterday and I spotted this cute dresser. hmmmm. Oh the things I could do. I stared at it for a good 10 minutes before deciding that I didn't need to spend the money. Went home. Woke up at 2:30 in the morning and all I could think about was this dresser. Had to have it. I figured it would not be at the thrift store when I got there this morning, but it was. So, I stared at it for 20 more minutes. Texted a picture to my mom. Called my mom so she could look it up for me (around 1970's Sears Bonnet french provincial). Stared at it more. Then just had to get it. Thinking in my head the whole time- Brian is going to be sooooo mad at me.. I was so proud of myself yesterday for not buying it and here I am today putting the seats down in my car so it will fit in. Well, I love it. I do. And I cannot wait to refinish/paint this for my house! I want it to be a sideboard-y type of table for the living room or dining room. And I am thinking color color! I found some examples below of some ideas. Love the yellow. and green. and orange. I need some opinions- what color do you like best??

Working on a project with a friend... doing something I have never done before but it is so much fun! Feels good to do some design-y stuff again. Oh, and Liss- don't freak out.. this is just the beginning :)

Work in progress! I saw my friend, Ana, today at the quilt store and she asked what I was working on... this is it. I didn't really have a plan, I just started cutting (so not like me!). Let's hope it looks ok when I finish!

Two sweet girls after a bubble bath :) Brian's brother, Sean, and his family came over for dinner- yay! So nice to spend time with Sean/Debra and all three of the girls.. Carly, Chloe and McKinsey. We missed you, Nana and Papa!

Game night for the girls :) Esme wants to play games constantly now..Perfection (without setting the timer because it scares her when it pops), Yahtzee, Snorta, and Uno. This girl is game crazy. She doesn't really get the concept of most of them, but she is super patient while we help and teach her. Even though her Uno cards all lay face up on the table, she has won several times. Love that she is getting into playing games.. we will have her playing (and probably winning) Life and Clue before long- ha!

Cousin sleepover night (missing two cousins!). Brian is out of town, so my sister (Laurell) came over to spend the night with me. Two of my nephews are at camp- we definitely miss them! Aislin, Declan, and Tucker all slept in Aislin's double bed- they were all so squished in there, but sooo cute all snuggled up. Next time, we need all the cousins for a sleepover :)

Favorite part of their day? Getting home from soccer camp, showering, and curling up on the couch with their dad to watch the USA women kick some bootie in soccer :)

Potty training.. week 3! Esme is doing great- what a relief! She is doing so good- hasn't had an accident in at least a week and is getting really good at telling me when she has to go. Of course, we have to visit the restroom at every store but I am hoping that the newness of using all those different bathrooms wears off. So proud of my girl!
