These can be made in different sizes- I made them from paper strips from 1" to 2.5"- though the larger ones need two strips of paper glued together. All you need is paper (I use heavier cardstock), hole punch, adhesive and a glue gun.
First cut your strip of paper- this one is 1.5" (which makes a 3.5" diameter flower). You will also need two circles (not shown) to cover the center- I used 1" circles for this one.
Fold the paper accordion style. You can do this by hand, but I just got this awesome Martha Stewart paper scorer (used 40% coupon at M's) and used it to score the paper every 1/4".
After you get your paper folded, smooth it out a little bit and punch holes down one side (not on the folds). I used my tiniest hole punch for this and it really doesn't matter if the holes aren't perfectly straight- you won't be able to tell once it is finished.
Fold your paper back up and glue the ends together so your strip is in a circle.
Now gather it all together and push down (with your holes on the outside of circle). Sometimes it is nice to have another pair of hands during this part.
Use your glue gun and run a glob of glue around the edge of that inner circle. Stick one of the 1" circles down and hold for a second.
Flip your flower over (be careful- if the glue isn't dry enough it will try to pull apart) and fill the hole with glue and also run glue around the inside circle.
Stick the other 1" circle on top of this hole and you are done! Press down a little bit to make sure it sticks. They dry pretty quick and are sturdy.
Sorry for the horrid pictures- it was so gloomy out today- no lighting at all! Have fun!

Love the scorer. I looked at it one time. Maybe I need to give it a second look.
